He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Bessell and Lillian Bessell (Gorden); and his sister Sandra Gardner (late Joseph). He is survived by: his wife Janice E. Bessell (Gilmore); his children, Lisa A. Pickering (Lewis) and James H. Bessell (Holly) of Safety Harbor; his grandchildren, Nicole Costa (Pickering), Christopher Deignan, Katherine Bessell, Daniel Pickering, Matthew Deignan and Michael Bessell; and his brother Jerome Bessell. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
