She was predeceased by: her spouse Juanito A'Vant; her parents, Jose Lopes and Mary Almeida Lopes; her stepfather Benjamin Freitas; her brother Alvin Freitas; and her daughters, Candy A'Vant and Trudy A'Vant-Dacruz.
She is survived by: her siblings, Edna Barboza, Julia Stockton, Frank Freitas, John Freitas, Peter Freitas, Benjamin Freitas, Mary Laughlin, Antoinette Richardson and Nancy Freitas; and her children, Linda A'Vant-Deishinni, Deborah A'Vant, Claudia A'Vant, Joseph A'Vant, Mary A'Vant-Blinkhorn, Detective Lt (John A'Vant), Theresa A'Vant-Antonio, Anthony A'Vant, Angelo A'Vant, Dominic A'Vant, Catherine A'Vant-Fowler and Serena A'Vant White. She is also survived by 30 grandchildren, two deceased, 19 great-grandchildren, and many nephews and nieces.
