With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of George R. Smith Jr. of Warwick, Rhode Island, born in Providence, Rhode Island, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 7, 2024 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Joanne M. Smith (Lial); his parents, George R. Smith, Sr. and Rita Smith (Holmes); and his sister Marianne Feeney. He is survived by: his children, George R. Smith, III (Nancy) of Warwick, Kelly M. French (John) of Warwick and Jennifer L. Smith (Brendan Hart) of Point Pleasant, NJ; his brother Richard Smith of West Warwick; and his grandchildren, Julia French, Hannah French, Jared Smith, Lucas Smith and Owen Hart.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in George's memory to St. Timothy Church would be appreciated.
