He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert L. Boynton and Sarah M. Boynton (Mullen); his son David A. Boynton Sr.; and his sister Margaret Levy. He is survived by: his wife Carol A. Boynton (Simas); his children, Edward F. Boynton Sr. (Elizabeth), Steven M. Boynton (Sheila), Tracy L. Boynton-Gauvin and Kerri L. Boynton; his daughter-in-law Johanna Boynton; his grandchildren, Edward Boynton Jr., Eric Boynton, Patrick Boynton, David Boynton Jr., Autumn Boynton, Christian Boynton, Tiffani Boynton, Amanda Gauvin, Savanah Rodriguez and Tyler Martin; and his great grandchildren, Bennett Boynton, Olivia Clark, Nora Laurie and Everly Boynton.
