She is survived by: her husband John J. McLaughlin Sr. (Providence Fire Department); her children, Leslie M. Morrissey (Ronald), John J. McLaughlin Jr. (Nicole) and Heather L. McLaughlin; her grandchildren, Michael Mariorenzi, Caitlin Gansert (Jacob), Aoife McLaughlin and John "Jack" McLaughlin III; her great grandchild Juliana Rose Gansert; and her siblings, Sandra J. Gasrow (Dennis) and James Jacques. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
She became a grant writer for the American Lung Association.
