He was predeceased by: his wife Marcia Shirley; his parents, Harold Shirley and Eunice Shirley; and his daughter Donna J. Shirley. He is survived by: his children, Deborah L. Fontes (Gary) and Thomas J. Shirley (Melissa); his grandchildren, Adam D. Fontes (Malaree) and Tara L. Fontes (Devin); and his great grandchild Noah D. Fontes.
