It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Catherine E. Atkinson (Warwick, Rhode Island), born in Providence, Rhode Island, who passed away on January 4, 2022, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Catherine Nichols (Talty) and Waldo Nichols; her husband Gordon H. Atkinson; her son Battalion Chief; and her siblings, R. Maureen Scanlon (Thomas), William E. Nichols, Margaret R. Toole (late Frederick), James G. Nichols (Rosalyn) and Anne M. Garlock (Peter).
She is survived by: her children, Jane E. Dwyer (late John) and Brian A. Atkinson (Maria). She is also survived by her 4 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, as well as dozens of nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, January 10, at 11 a. m. in St. Gregory the Great Church, 360 Cowesett Road, Warwick. (Face masks will be required.).
In lieu of flowers, donations to Hasbro Children's Hospital are appreciated. As per Catherine's wishes, please do not send flowers.
