He was predeceased by: his sister Ann Tumber. He is survived by: his wife Janet Stover; his children, Catherine Tumber, Julie Tumber Povall (Doug), Jim Tumber (Marea) and Bill Tumber (Glenda); his sisters, Deb Tumber and Margaret Tumber; his sister-in-law Marilyn Lively; and his grandchildren, James, Andrew, Emily, Anna, Christopher, Kathryn and Olivia. He is also survived by two great grandchildren.
