With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Walter J. Nencka Sr. of Warren, Rhode Island, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 12, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Walter leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Sr. Nencka and Josephine Nencka (Kulig); and his sister Carol Greene. He is survived by: his wife Marion Nencka (Mendoza); his son Walter Nencka Jr. of Bristol, RI; his brother Frank Nencka Jr. (Natalie) of Warren, RI; and his grandchildren, Thomas Nencka and Sara Nencka. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Jul Funeral Service (8 Schoolhouse Rd, Warren, RI 02885). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 8:30 AM at the St. Mary of the Bay Parish (645 Main St, Warren, RI 02885). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
