He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Roland Salvatore and Florence Grace Rosa (Conselio); his wife Edith Ann Rosa (Johnson); his children, Richard Roland Rosa Jr. (Amy Rosa) of Ormond Beach, FL, Cheryl Lee Feliciano (John Feliciano) of Enfield, CT, Anne Louise Saimeri of Orleans, MA and Robin Lynne Rosa Laub of San Mateo, CA; and his grandchildren, Chelsea, Christie Rosa, Kyle Feliciano, Katlin Ayotte (Feliciano), Mia Abraham (Saimeri), Natalie Parent (Saimeri), Salvatore, Olivia Salmeri, Courtney, Elle and Mark Laub. He was also cherished by four great-grandchildren.
