It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helena Furtado (Warren, Rhode Island), who passed away on December 29, 2019, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her spouse Henrique Furtado; her parents, Manuel Moitoso and Maria Moitoso (Medeiros); her daughter Maria Brimmer (Luis Brimmer) of Swansea; and her sister Rose Garcia.

She is survived by: her daughter Maria Zorra (John) of Swansea; and her siblings, Maria Garcia and Deolinda Moitoso. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
