She is survived by: her husband Robert C. "Bob" Anderson; her daughters, Gayle and Laurie; her son-in-law David; and her granddaughter Lulu.

The family plans a small private service, and in lieu of flowers requests donations to the RI Wild Plant Society or to the Peace Dale Congregational Church. Keep Shirley 's legacy alive by donating to a charity in need.
