Downey (Wakefield, Rhode Island), born in Milford, Connecticut, who passed away at the age of 82, on October 28, 2023. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Frederick McGirr and Ruth Carlson McGirr; her husband Dick Downey; her family, Richard Clinton Downey and Trevor Norman Downey; her sons, Richard Clinton Downey of Cranston and Trevor Norman Downey of St. Augustine, FL; her grandson Andrew Downey of North Kingstown, RI; her sister Bettejane Hopkins of Deep River; her sisters-in-law, Deborah Afasano of Clearwater, FL, Pamela Dodge of Whispering Pines, NC and Joan Downey of Guilford, CT; and her friends, Leslie Thomas, Sue McPartlin, Rene Bertrand, Micheal Montle, Ray and Carleglio. She was also cherished by loving nieces and nephews.
