It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Katherine B. Nelson of Wakefield, Rhode Island, who passed away on March 7, 2025, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Col. William Nelson; her parents, James Oliver and Katherine Oliver (Willard); and her sister Margaret Kendzierski (Peggy). She is survived by: her children, William Nelson, Jr. of Germany, Leslie Hanson of California and Ann Nelson-Hartnett; her daughter-in-law Joyce Nelson of Rhode Island; her son Nathan Nelson; and her grandchildren, Xavier Nelson, Ryan Hanson, Summer Arrigo-Nelson, Jessica Schiller, Ashley Wiltse, Jennifer Hartnett, Jason Hartnett and Laura Clark.
