He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Potter and Avis Potter (Smith); and his brother Robert Potter. He is survived by: his wife Catherine Potter; his children, Julie Chapman (Christopher), Colleen Potter and Andrew Potter; and his grandchildren, Zachary Northup, Mia Chapman and Grampy.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the South County Health Cancer Center.
