He is survived by: his sons, Dr. Steven Toms of Providence and David Toms (Anette M. Toms) of Bristol; his grandsons, Daniel Toms (Allie), Matthew Toms, Michael Toms, James Toms and Adam Toms; and his siblings, Joan Bozman of Wittman, MD, Norval Toms of Easton, MD and Wayne Toms of Bethlehem, MD..
