He was predeceased by: his wife Rita Levesque Mathews; his children, Joyce Carolyn Mathews, Russell Wayne Mathews and Kenneth Allen Mathews; his parents, Ira Griffin Mathews and Ruby Sayers Mathews; and his sisters, Margaret Nell McGinty and Ruth Willis.
He is survived by: his sons, Donald B. Mathews and Robert Mathews (Bob); his granddaughters, Laura Mathews and Jennifer Mathews; and his sister Margie Heffner. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
