He was predeceased by: his parents, George W. Carpenter, Sr. and Mary Lou Carpenter (Figueira); and his siblings, Joan Carpenter and George Carpenter, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Susan Carpenter (Roberts); his children, Cynthia Jackson, Brenda Murphy (Jeffrey), Terri Gillen (Anthony) and Persephone Alves (David) of Swansea; his grandchildren, Rachael Carpenter, Mark Beebe II (Tiffany), Nicholas Gillen, Michael, Matthew Murphy, Sydney and Ethan Alves; and his great grandchildren, Bryse, Ashton and Lukas.
