He was predeceased by: his parents, Joao Jose and Maria Jose; and his brother John Machado. He is survived by: his wife Maria Eduarda Machado (Oliveira); his children, Mark Machado (Abagail Crider) of North Carolina and Jennifer Renchen (Luke) of Tiverton; his grandchildren, Alexia Machado, Taylor Machado, Cristiano Machado, Mateus Machado, Avery Machado, Keegan Dutelle, Luke Renchen Jr., Cruz Renchen and Kinsley Renchen; and his siblings, Natalie Pacheco of Bristol, Alda Amaral of New Bedford, Manuela Machado Fitzpatrick of Bristol, Jean Gibbs of Walpole, MA and Lucia Machado.
