It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joseph Mello Jr. of Tiverton, Rhode Island, born in Providence, Rhode Island, who passed away on April 28, 2022, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Mello (Perry); his parents, Viola Mello (Bento) and Joseph Mello Sr.; and his siblings, Richard Mello and Dorothy Mello.
He is survived by: his caregiver Cynthia Manchester Rego; and also, Debra Hawman (Gary) of New York, Carol Botelho (Alan) of Maine, Lisa Miranda (Paul) of Rhode Island, Joseph Brian Mello (Tammy) of Tennessee and Daniel Mello (Jennifer) of New Hampshire. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Tiverton Fire Department.
