We are sad to announce that on April 5, 2018, at the age of 81, Helen C. Decosta (Tiverton, Rhode Island), born in Fall River, Massachusetts passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parent Bridget Shanahan (Cahill); and her sisters, Mary Taggart and Eileen Shanahan. She is survived by: her wife Frederick R. DeCosta; her parent William Shanahan; her son Brian DeCosta (Wife Carla); her grandchildren, Kyle DeCosta and Jenna DeCosta; her brother James Shanahan (Ann); her nieces, Erin Shanahan, Meagan Shanahan, Abigail Tant, Allison Tant and Kaelin Tant; and also Ireland.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Special Olympics.
