She is survived by: her sons, Neil Picaro and Joshua Picaro; her granddaughter Kendra Rose Picaro Souza; and her siblings, Jose DeMelo, Agusto DeMelo, Virginio DeMelo, Cecilia Carvalho, Carlos DeMelo and Filomena Santos. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
