The passing of Edward Francis Harrington of Tiverton, Rhode Island leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on March 7, 2025. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John J. Harrington and Elizabeth Harrington (Tolan); his brothers, Dr. John T. and Dr. Daniel T. Harrington; his son William T. Harrington (Janette) of Hingham; and his wife Ellen Erisman Harrington.
He is survived by: his children, John M. Harrington (Joanne) of Needham, Mary E. Power (James) of Little Compton, RI, Katherine H. Pershing (James) of Cohasset, Elizabeth H. Carroll (John) of Portsmouth, RI and Edward P. Harrington (Sarah) of Braintree; his in-law Ann Garrahan; and his sister Katie Erisman M. M.. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, March 15th 2025 from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, March 14th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Joseph Church (1382 Highland Ave, Needham, MA 02492). A burial will be held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Patrick's Cemetery. Throughout the COVID 19 pandemic, he continued mediation by Zoom.
