The memory of Hassan William Salley of South Kingstown, Rhode Island, born in Glendale, Rhode Island, who passed away on October 2, 2024 at the age of 98, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Louise Salley (Lyons); his parents, Hassan Salley and Elizabeth Agnes LeClaire Salley (Creighton); and his children, Diane Salley and William Hassan Salley.
He is survived by: his children, Nadine Salley (George Helwig), Melinda Salley (James "Randy" Reeves), Pamela Cyr (Timothy) and Timothy Hassett-Salley (Cecily); his daughter-in-law Kathleen Salley; his grandchildren, Jason Helwig Greany (Beth), Gaia Molly Salih, Jacob Hassan Salley (Mariana), Benjamin William Salley (Laura), Karl Hassan Cyr (Betsy), Cassandra "Casey" Cyr (Alex Reiss), Matthew Roberts (Holly Monacelli), Daniel Hassett-Salley (Brigid Griffin) and Juliana Hassett-Salley (Chris Luskin); his great grandchildren, Gretchen Korslund, Leif Korslund, Summer Salley, Parker William Salley, Hunter Hassan Salley, Cooper Salley, Jonathan "Jack" Hassan Cyr, Emmeline Salih Cyr, Maddox Cyr Reiss, Camillo Roberts, Gabriel Luskin and Jonah Luskin; and his sisters-in-law, Marjorie M. LeClaire of Pawtucket, RI and Evelyn R. Lyons of Ellington, CT.. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, October 6th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Burke-Fortin Funeral Home (76 Prospect St, Vernon, CT 06066). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, October 7th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Bernard's Church (25 St Bernard's Terrace, Vernon, CT 06066).
