It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William A. Hughes of Smithfield, Rhode Island, born in Providence, Rhode Island, who passed away on September 26, 2022, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph P. Hughes and Myrtle S. Hughes (Flodin); and his sister Thelma Gaccione. He is survived by: his spouse Shirley F. Hughes; his children, Cheryl Metrano (Jonathan) of Smithfield, Nancy Nobrega of Smithfield, Kenneth Spader (Janine) of Cumberland and Edward Spader (Mary); and his brothers, Richard "Dick" Hughes, Joseph "Paul" Hughes, Jr. and Bill.
