She was predeceased by: her husband Daniel J. Vassett; her parents, Wilfred E. Matthews and Edith M. Matthews (Lannon); and also Raymond E. Ford. She is survived by: her children, Jane Gingerella (George) of Westerly, Susan Buffery (late Christopher) of North Providence and Michael Ford (James Stuart-Riley) of Fountain Valley, CA.; her stepdaughter Kathleen Girouard (Robert) of Green Valley, AZ.; her sister Carolyn Callahan of Westerly; and her grandchildren, Melanie Hartley and Derek Slater. She is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren.
