He was predeceased by: his parent Joseph Varela. He is survived by: his friend Darlene Varela (Terrien); his parent Mary Varela (Rose); his children, Youths, Kazuo S. and Keijiro D. Varela; his siblings, Mark Varela of East Providence, Gary Varela of Georgia, Lynne DelGado of Providence, Mary Ann Fonseca of Providence and Bernadette Varela of Providence; his godmother Josephine Braz of East Providence; and also Smithfield. He is also survived by many nieces nephews and friends.
