He was predeceased by: his parents, John J. Gibbons, Jr. and Mary I Gibbons (Miner). He is survived by: his wife Joanne M. Gibbons (Strain); his children, John J. "Jake" Gibbons, IV of San Diego and Allison Gibbons of New York City; his sisters, Debbie Hirst (Wayne) of Glocester and June Guidoboni (late Tom) of Prescott; his mother-in-law Joan Strain of Smithfield; and his siblings-in-law, Kathleen Martel (Mark) of Cumberland and John L. Strain, III (Donna) of West Warwick. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
