It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Louis Sylvester of Smithfield, Rhode Island, born in Providence, Rhode Island, who passed away on December 28, 2023, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Sylvester and Antonette Sylvester (Fiocco); and his wife Judith Sylvester (LaProva). He is survived by: his children, Sandra Sylvester and James Sylvester (Jessica); and his grandsons, James and Jacob Sylvester. He is also survived by his daughter's softball coach, Hockey Dad and coach for his son, and Hockey Papa.
