He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfonso Gentile and Emma Gentile (Contenti); and his sister Gloria Prowtroski. He is survived by: his wife Arlene Jarvis-Gentile (Joly); his children, Lisa Gentile of Greenville, Bernardo "Benny" Gentile, Jr. (Kama) of Glocester and Gina LaPlante (Gary) of North Scituate; his stepchildren, Stephen Jarvis of Smithfield, Paula Coyne of Coventry and Carol Peloquin of Smithfield; and his siblings, Harry Gentile (Dahlia), Antonetta Farrell (Robert Farrell), Dolores Bennett (Eric Bennett), Orlando and Fred Gentile. He is also survived by his 11 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren.
His funeral mass is private by invitation only due to COVID restrictions.
