It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Eleanor A. McGetrick of Scituate, Rhode Island, who passed away on December 27, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Eleanor may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Eleanor touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Mayor and Anna Mayor (Piekut); and her brother Henry. She is survived by: her daughters, Ann Marie Wilson (Jeffrey) of Warwick, Brenda McGetrick (Denise) of Cranston and Mary Ellen Bendetti (Eugene) of Warwick; her grandchildren, Jeffrey, Kristyn, Michael and Gino; and her great grandchildren, Tommy and Benny.
A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Robert Bellarmine Church (1804 Atwood Ave, Johnston, RI 02919).
