With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Elizabeth Howrie (Rumford, Rhode Island), born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, who passed away on November 12, 2019 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband William C. Howrie, Jr; her parents, Vincent Elwell and Elizabeth Elwell (Hausmann); and her sister Elizabeth Gesner. She is survived by: her children, Deborah Horvath (Joseph) of Shelton, CT, Dolores Hirx of Milford, MA, Denise Schiff (Paul) of Allison Park, PA, Diane Roland (Charles) of Warwick, RI and William C. Howrie, III (Carol) of Clarence, NY; and her sister Dorothy Weiserth. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
