She was predeceased by: her husband Manuel Tavares; her parents, Guilherme Cabral and Virginia Cabral (Freitas); her daughter Anna Pavão; and her brother Manuel Cabral.
She is survived by: her children, Ilda Araujo (José) of Mississauga, ON, Natalia Cole of Pawtucket, Virginia Tavares of Rumford, Lucia Tavares (João) of Rumford, Joseph Tavares (Maria) of Seekonk, John Tavares of Rumford and Antonio Tavares. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
