Karen E. Speaks Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Karen E. Speaks of Rumford, Rhode Island, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 17, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Speaks and Nena Speaks (Sailor); her child Thomeeka Speaks; and her brother Arthur Speaks, Jr.. She is survived by: her close friend Thomas Wills; her children, Kristen Speaks, Lawrence Speaks, Jr., Carrissa Speaks (Jacqeline Onasile), Lateathomel Speaks of Thomas and John Speaks (Maya Speaks); and her siblings, Larry Speaks and Donna Speaks.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Perry-McStay Funeral Home (2555 Pawtucket Ave, East Providence, RI 02914). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to The Tomorrow Fund, in honor of Karen's lifelong commitment to helping others.
