He was predeceased by: his wife Mary E. Burns (Daly); his parents, James Burns and Anna Burns (McDonnell); his grandson Patrick B. Adams; and his siblings, Marie Burns, James W. Burns, Anne Reddington and Robert Burns.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Lauren, Ryan, Daniel, Jessica, Joshua, Michael, Christopher, Cara and Caroline. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Perry-McStay Funeral Home (2555 Pawtucket Ave, East Providence, RI 02914). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Margaret Church (1098 Pawtucket Ave, Rumford, RI 02916).
