He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Smith and Anna Smith (Hoey). He is survived by: his wife Dorothy M. Smith (Ferreira); his son David Smith (Amy) of Rehoboth; his grandson Gavin Smith; and his siblings, Michael Smith of Florida, Cindy Berthiaume of Riverside, Barbara Saleeba of Seekonk, Margaret Watson of Riverside, Carol Sampson of Riverside, Marybeth Marinelli of Seekonk and Kathleen Bourque of Seekonk.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Perry-McStay Funeral Home (2555 Pawtucket Ave, East Providence, RI 02914). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Martha Church (2595 Pawtucket Ave, East Providence, RI 02914).
