He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia A. Oldrid (Vassett); and his parents, Norman Oldrid and Alma Oldrid (Harbeck). He is survived by: his children, Patricia Hanson of East Providence, Richard E. Oldrid Jr. of Fairhaven, MA and Mindy Corrigan (Rob Connors) of East Providence; his sister Jacqueline Massie; and his pet Tillie. He is also survived by four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
