She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Tavares and Catherine Tavares (Santamaria); and her daughters, Lori Scienzo Rebello and Diane Scienzo Laughlin. She is survived by: her husband Philip J. Bernier; her children, Wendy Scienzo (Richard Alessandrini) of Riverside and Scott Scienzo (Carlene) of Riverside; her siblings, Jo Ann Whalen of Swansea, MA and Edward Tavares (Helen) of Warwick; and her stepson Keith Bernier of Cranston. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
