She was predeceased by: her husband Bill Steele; her parents, John Fodrell and Fannie Mae Fodrell (Hawkins); her daughter Linda L. Steele; her grandchild Bobbie Steele; her great grandchild Dante Mann; and her sisters, Eunice Fodrell Monroe and Barbara Fodrell Gladney.
She is survived by: her daughter Betty Steele of Schenectady, NY; her grandchildren, Deanna Smith, Tressa M. Steele, James T. Johnson, Ronnie Steele, Jr., Freda White and Keishon Steele; her brother John Fodrell, Jr. (Betty); and her son Ronald Steele. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren.
