He was predeceased by: his wife Janet O'Connell (Smith); his parents, Joseph E. O'Connell and Mary O'Connell (Charlton); his daughter Patricia Corbin; and his siblings, Helen Dorr, Loretta MacDonald, James, Joseph and Mary O'Connell.
He is survived by: his children, Kathleen Tripp (Kenneth) of Louisville, KY, Eleanor O'Connell, Charles "Chuck" O'Connell (Rachel) of Mendon, MA and Daniel O'Connell (Donna Avery) of Coventry; his sister Margaret "Peggy" LaMarre of Riverside; his grandchildren, Yvette, Justin, Eamon, Chip, Julie and Sarah; and his great grandchildren, Cody and Brady.
