He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter S. Newton and Ethel M. Newton (Duggan); and his siblings, Doris Weimer, Arthur J. Newton, Marion Nicholson and Walter C. Newton.
He is survived by: his nephew William C. Newton (Virginia); and his great-nieces, Tiffany A. Newton and Brittany A. LaFleur (Dennis).
He will be laid to rest with military honors in the family plot of Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence. ¬In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to National Museum of the Marine Corps, 1775 Semper Fidelis Wy, Triangle, VA 22172 would be appreciated.
