She was predeceased by: her son Joaquim "Jackie" Tavares Alvarenga; her parents, Arsenio Gonçalves and Luisa DaSilva Gonçalves; and her siblings, Jose Gonçalves, Alfredo Gonçalves, Francisco Gonçalves, Alice Gonçalves and Tomosia Gonçalves.
She is survived by: her daughter Joann Gonçalves Peareara; her grandchildren, Jazmin Eaves, Hubert Eaves V and Jaylin Eaves; her siblings, Emilia Freitas, Maria Monteiro, Belmira Monteiro, Andreza Barros, João Goncalves and Daniel Goncalves; and her close friend Lucille Beatty. She is also survived by extended family membersand dear friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Keefe Funeral Home (5 Higginson Ave, Lincoln, RI 02865). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Michael's Church (239 Oxford St, Providence, RI 02905). A burial was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery (550 Wampanoag Trail, Riverside, RI 02915).
