With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary T. Coogan of Providence, Rhode Island, who passed away on January 2, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Frederick Ward and Margaret Ward (O'Neill); and her siblings, Elizabeth Shippee, Frederick, Jack and Robert Ward.

She is survived by: her husband George E. Coogan; her sons, Timothy P. Coogan (Ghislaine) of Smithfield and Christopher G. Coogan (Melanie) of Scituate, MA.; and her grandchildren, Alyssa, Sean and Cate Coogan.

In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959 or Alzheimer's Association, 245 Waterman St., Suite 306, Providence, RI 02906 will be appreciated.
