It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marie E. (Holmes) McDaniels of Providence, Rhode Island, who passed away on December 3, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Marie E. may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Marie E. touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert A. Holmes and Marie Holmes; her former husband Sgt. Charles N. McDaniels; and her son Anthony Brian McDaniels. She is survived by: her spouse Sergeant Charles N. McDaniels; her children, Teresa of Laurel, Maryland, Marlisha, Vanessa of Boston, MA, Charles (Melanie) of Phoenix Arizona and Tracy (Cheryl) of Boston, MA.; her sister Charlene Holmes; and her godson Brian Mair. She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Viewing was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 at 5:00 PM at the Grant AME Church (1906 Washington St, Boston, MA 02118). A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
