Maria Lima Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Maria Lima (Providence, Rhode Island), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 30, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Maria farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Maria is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her husband Ernest Lima; her parents, Joseph Arrigo and Vincenza Arrigo (Vingi); and her sister Virginia R. Bruno. She is survived by: her sisters, Anna J. Merlino and Josephine E. Petronio; her daughter Susan Henry (Lima); her son-in-law William J. Henry; and her aunt Mae. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and several great-great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Anderson-Winfield Home (2 Church St, Greenville, RI 02828). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Thomas Church (65 Fruit Hill Ave, Providence, RI 02909).
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Amos House, 460 Pine Street, Providence, RI 02907 Amos House.
