It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Louis E. Gelineau D. D. J. C. L. S. T. L. of Providence, Rhode Island, born in Burlington, Vermont, who passed away on November 7, 2024, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the vast expanse of eternity, Louis shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Louis farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon G. Gelineau and Juliette Baribault Gelineau; and his brothers, Robert and Norman. He is also survived by six nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Cathedral of Saints Peter & Paul (30 Fenner St, Providence, RI 02903). A Mass was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Cathedral of Sts. Peter & Paul (30 Fenner St, Providence, RI 02903).
