She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward L. Leonard and Ruth S. Learned Leonard Lopes; her former husband Richard Barra; and her nephew Michael E. Bouthot. She is survived by: her husband Dr. Donald D. Deignan of Providence, RI.; her sisters, Jeanne Chapman (Robert J. Chapman, Jr.), Ruth Hauzinger (Richard Hauzinger) and Susan Bouthot (Lawrence Bouthot); her nephews, Edward Leonard and Joseph Bouthot (Eva); her niece Amy Sanborn (Dave); her great-nieces and great-nephews, Darcy, James, Mark and Esther; and her former husband Michael Forss.
