He was predeceased by: his mother Celeste Lyons (Pothier); his granddaughter Rachel Zalabowski; his siblings, William Lyons and Joan Lyons; his parents-in-law, Walter J. Homenick and Sarah McElroy; and his brother-in-law Alexander Homenick (Wanda).
He is survived by: his father George Lyons Sr.; his children, Patricia Zalabowski (Richard Zalabowski Jr.), James W. Lyons Jr. and Merideth Abrahamson; his grandchildren, Richard Zalabowski III, Raymond Zalabowski (Lucero), Amanda Lyons Ekaterina (Jonny Lamendola) and Nicole Zalabowski; his great grandchildren, Joshua Zalabowski, Richard Zalabowski IV, Amora Zalabowski, Carver Zalabowski, Raymond Zalabowski Jr., Emmett Conner and Lily James Lamendola; his siblings, George Lyons, Paul Lyons (Paula), Robert Lyons (Lorna), Ann Ferraro (George) and Mary Desorcy; and his siblings-in-law, Walter Homenick (Marilyn), Eileen Santucci (Richard) and Sally Bradford (James).
A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Thomas Church (65 Fruit Hill Ave, Providence, RI 02909).
