He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Schachter and Janet Schachter (Eisenberg). He is survived by: his wife Ruth Schachter (Samuels); his children, David A. Schachter (Susan), Bernie I. Schachter (Benita), Steven C. Schachter (Amy) and Carolyn Junge (Patrick Burke); his cousin Barbara Arenberg; his grandchildren, Michael Schachter, Abigail Schachter, Samuel Schachter, Scott Schachter, Benjamin Schachter, Eden Schachter, Alexandra Junge and Jenna Junge; and his great grandchildren, Ronan Schachter, Elliott Schachter and Savi Sekar. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
