He was predeceased by: his wife Carol Joy Smith (Hanson); and his mother Antonetta Smith. He is survived by: his children, Gerald Smith of Smithfield and Marion Coleman of Smithfield; and his grandchildren, Amanda Faiola of Pascoag and Robert Ferrante of Smithfield. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
